Craft Fair Update :)

It's taken me a few days to write up my 'craft fair report' - ooops :)  Here's a few shots from my stall . . .

I had a pretty good day at the fair - enough sales to keep me happy and people were very complementary about my dispay, so that was nice :)  I was glad I took my crochet hook and some yarn to make some crochet flowers during the quieter periods - sorted! :)

Well, that's one under my belt - I hope to get a couple more cancellations over the Summer, if I'm lucky!

Eeeeeks - Last minute craft fair!

Well, my time has come - I've been waiting in the wings for long enough and I've gotten the call to arms - your local craft fair needs you, hehe :)

I have been given a slot for this weekend's fair in Stornoway Town Hall and I'm all ready - packed, priced and labelled, - I might as well give it a go!

A few last minute 'makes' . . .

Inspired by an idea in the book, Homemade Gifts Vintage Style - guess who got her first pair of pinking scissors this week????  (A snip at the price if I might say so - pardon the pun!)   If you stand still long enough, I will have cut around you in a ziggy-zag style in the blink of an eye . . .

After the craft fair I would like to try some more random arrangements for these brooches ie. a little lace, a little 'thrifty' fabric, etc, etc. but this week I had to whip these up quite quickly! (they're a little regular in shape - I need to mess them up a bit perhaps??)  Well, actually I couldn't wait to test the pinking scissors - I love them!  These brooches are my 'test dummies' ;-)

My camera has just run out of batteries so I will try and get some more before the fair on Saturday - I refuse to get in a tizz - I will be completely calm, cool and collected - well, maybe! ;-)  Photos to follow - I hope!

Another great pattern!

Just to catch up with both online patterns I purchased recently - I actually finished the crochet bracelet by Little Treasures last week and didn't get a chance to post about it.  A lovely pattern which worked out exactly like the picture on the cover - it fitted perfectly too! . . .

I really loved the little domed button feature - it's a lovely touch . . .

All in all, a great little make which I'd definitely try again . . .

I'd better get back to some tweedy work this week - it's been lovely to get back to a little knitty and crochet work though - I really missed it!

And here's a cute little vase I picked up in the charity shop on the way to work last week, just perfick for the odd posy or two!  Not bad for 50p I thought, hehe . . . (my youngest commented how the flowers matched the pattern on the vase perfectly - how sweet of him to notice something like that!) . . .

I can see how the 'thrifting'/charity shop thing could become VERY addictive - my library books (OK I eventually caved in and purchased both from Amazon!) have a lot to answer for - oooops!

Happy Monday!

Before I go . . . .

Before I go . . . . . to work, that is!  Last minute post before I dash off - my fair isle fishy (pattern by Julia Marsh of Handknitted Things)  is done, ta dah! . . .

Is cute, no?  Slightly funny shape - but me likes it :)  It's now hanging in my crafty space . . .

. . . which I'm adding all sorts of craftiness to - I framed my old embroidery piece this morning :)

Ta, ta!
