W.I.P. and Day 5 (Blogtoberfest)

Today I'm showing a work in progress, from er . . . . the Summer holidays - approx. August - how time flies from one school term to the next, ooops!

I started this bag while on holiday, and even although it's progressed since I took the photos . . . it's still in a state of unfinished bliss!!  I was having a bit of a laugh decorating it with some crochet flowers I'd been making - when is less more, or is it the other way around, or when is more, more?????  I saw  the idea in a sewing book and realised it was just an oversized zipper pouch with handles attached - I had to have a go . . .

. . . such a simple idea, I used some of my Japanese cotton fabrics to line it - attaching the handles was easy.  So why haven't I finished it?  I have absolutely no idea!!!!  Perhaps Blogtoberfest is reminding me to do some stuff I'd forgotten about.  Do you have long lost W.I.P.s?

One at a time please, form an orderly queue to make your W.I.P. confessions here, ladies - thankyou :D

As you imagine right, I have a lot of w.i.p.s too, but the problem is that sometimes (honestly, lately very often!!) I don't remember where I put them....yeah, my crafty room is always a big mess, where my stuff loves to play hide and seek!!!

Right now it's all embroideries, because somewhere along the way I just lost the passion to embroider. I still like it, though, so I keep hoping the interest will trickle back in....

W.I.P.!!! Where do I start! There are SO many of them being a knitter, crocheter - don't know the term for this - and quilter....but right at the very mo I'm working on a scarf pattern - creating it - and taking a leaf from your book, making items for my Etsy shop. I've Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to focus on it: bliss! Tomorrow I'm mountain biking! Yipee! Have a good weekend.

Hey Alison, WIP's ha.....UFO"S definitely!!
Won't even got there, love the bag and when you see it as an oversized zipper pouch with handles , it seems so much simpler to make.......
Pouring with rain here, loving it. Hope you are enjoying some beautiful Autumn weather.....

For me, forgotten WIP's are often a result of having something in the project not go as I thought it would in mind or running into a technical difficulty. Once my brain gets around it, the project follows. Of course, life also tends to interfere with expressing one's creativity but that is always the way....

I'm standing up and I'm saying in a loud voice "Hello. I'm Trudy. And I have WIP's". So, good to get off my chest!!! Actually I've just added a list to my blog to keep me on track. I think I have 19 ... does that make you feel better?!!!
