Sunday: embellishing my tweedie seahorses with sequins which was fun! (Oh, and some buttons too!)
Monday: a brainwave idea to create Harris Tweed amulets/charms in little pebble shapes, decorated with doodles, symbols and squiggles - I've added these to my Folksy shop, but more about them later!
Tuesday: I'd been wanting to try to make some little patchwork pincushions (and use a similar design for other home decor items) for a while now, so I did, and I loved how it worked out - finished pics to follow.
Today: I have a 'helluva' mess to tidy up after all that crafting, and I ain't going to show you any pictures of it - believe me, you don't want to see it!!
Some lovely 'messy' and 'not-so-messy' creative peeps over at Kirsty's place:)

The beginnings of your tweedy pincushion look most excellent.
Your seahorses are kust lovely and believe me, I don't think I would ever be brave enough to reveal the mess that I call my creative space.
looking forward to seeing your little pin cushions!
I've really enjoyed looking through your blog today. I love your seahorses too, and the new little pebbles. Great to see you using something local & making new from old. xo
Uh-oh. I've resisted thus far, but if you make tweedie pincushions, I am going to be spending some money I don't have. ;)
Wow I think I have found someone that loves tweed as much as me. Somedays when I dress in tweed from head to toe I look exactly like your gorgeous sea horses. :)
Oh, I'm so eager to see the pincushion as well! I love the idea of Harris Tweed patchwork - that way you get all sorts of lovely colours & patterns in one product! Ever thought of making a patchwork bag or purse? That would be lovely!
Yah to productive mess - it's the best kind really. They all look fabulous, well worth it I'd say. K
I really like the patchy pin cushion - can't wait to see it finished and in your shop - hint hint! Nic
Did I ever tell you that last week when I arrived I saw your package?? MADE MY DAY! I love it so much that I hanged it from the handle of a cupboard and Im guessing it will stay there... who says tweed is only for christmas! ahaaah THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!
