Blogiversary Giveaway!

I still don't know how to spell blogiversary - never mind, here's details of the giveaway as promised! Today is my one year blogiversary and what better way to celebrate than a Giveaway. I have gained such a huge amount of enjoyment from my blog this year and the lovely feedback I have received. Living in quite a geographically remote part of the country/world, it has meant a great deal to me to share my work and inspiration and general, daily hum-drum stuff to all those who read my blog and, yes, it's great fun too!

Bloggy speech over, here's the deal - just leave a comment saying what inspires you to craft OR what craft/art form you most admire OR failing that, just why you'd like to win the Giveaway! It is open to anyone in the world to enter and will close at midnight on Wednesday 15th April (British time). (That will give me time to enjoy all my lovely relatives who are up on Easter hols at the moment!!). I will do the 'Random Number Generator' thingy to select the winner. Hope you'll feel inclined to enter, just for the fun of it!!

The Giveaway prize will be a selection of tweedy-goodies as shown above - 'tweedy-bumblebee', Harris Tweed/Kawaii fabric pin-cushion, fabric covered buttons, ladybird-tweedies card and I'll add whatever other tweedie-goodies I have to hand!

Happy Monday!

(P.S. I'll announce the winner on Thursday 16th April, so please check back then, particularly if you haven't left contact details with your comment).

at THIS particular point in time I'm hugely inspired by all the books that I've borrowed/ acquired on painted journals, collage and mixed media textile pieces.
Love Maggie Grey's stuff

and it's interesting because after being a firmly textiles oriented person for the last 30 years, I'm finding my need to draw and paint resurfacing.

still firmly and mainly a quilter though!!

I actually have no idea what inspires me to craft. anything that catches my eye and needs me to draw it, or when I see a really neat project and have to try myself. art form I most admire? sculpture. I love seeing things emerge from a block of wood/marble/stone etc. it amazes me that things so beautiful come from a boring lump

Hi, thanks for a great giveaway. I can't spell bloggaversary either. Congrats. I was mostly inspired to craft because I couldn't afford to buy all the cute things I find. I want to win your giveaway because, even though the warmer weather is coming, I am wild about tweed. Your items in your shop are very cute. Love that little mushroom deer fabric too. Thanks again!

I am always inspired by textures. Velvets, tweeds, corduroy, wool, satins, crepes, etc - I love touching them and feeling what they should become.
I really wish I could spin yarn and knit. That would open up even more options for texture in my work.

I admire people who can crochet. I really want to learn. I mostly sew things like blankets, toys or embellishments on my kid's clothes. I get inspired from things like pictures, cartoons or a great peice of fabric. Sometimes it's like the material has it's own idea about what it wants to be. This is especially true with the toy mosters I make my kids.

Hmmm what inspires me to craft? I'm not really sure there's a particular reason I can put a finger on as to why, its more a feeling, a need to create and make. I couldn't not.
Lovely tweedy work by the way and such a sweet giveaway.
Have a great Easter! ;0 x

Congrats on your blogiversary,
I am inspired by other crafters that manage to do so much whilst working, cooking, looking after littlies, and the 101 other things that we have to do in life and still making fabuloso stuff.

Congratulations!

I am really inspired by quilts at the moment - in particular vintage stlye quilts. I would like to learn more about quilting and admire anyone who has the patience to finish one!

I'm inspired by seeing other people's work--seeing how others combine colors and shapes gets the juices flowing.
Right now, I'm back into quilts, but it bounces between quilts, softies, and crocheted items. I LOVE vintage quilts, and like to use vintage patterns with the bright colors I love, like orange and teal.
